PURPOSE

If you run edit->reconfigure in Ruurd Reitsma's
Windows port of lyx and look at Help->LaTeX
Configuration, you (or many) get the message "No
Lyx File!". This seems to be due to a bug in the
stream editor (sed.exe). Replacement of the sed.exe
by a newer one gives rise to other errors.
My solution is to use another sed - named here HHSED -
for producing the LaTeXConfig.lyx file.

FIX

1. Copy the directories "bin" and "share" into your lyx
directory. This copies "HHSED.EXE" into the lyx\bin
directory and the replaces the files "configure" and
"configure.bat" in the ..\lyx\share\lyx directory.
(You may want to make backup copies first.)

2. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Name>\.lyx\doc.
Check that there is file "LaTeXConfig.lyx.in" with more
than zero bytes in that directory. Otherwise copy the
included file to that place.

Now run reconfigure from within Lyx and run

Run LyX -> Edit -> Reconfigure

This will give the inventory.

LICENSE

HHSED.EXE is sed.exe is taken from the sed15.zip package
(a HHsed version) downloadable from
http://www.cornerstonemag.com/sed/.
It is, as it appears to me, subject to the GNU Free
Public License; see the aforementioned page, however,
for conditions of use.

My stuff is distributed under the GNU Free Public License
version 2 in any case.
